Precious Time is there to provide answers and guidance, making certain your Pre-Kindergartner’s eagerness to take on new and different challenges is nurtured.
Welcome To Pre-Kindergarten Program
We go a step further than most childcare centers by providing a state certified professional teacher. Our teacher will
prepare your child for kindergarten using age-appropriate resources and creative play.
We assist your child in his/her reading readiness by providing a phonemic awareness program to assist with rhyming
words, sounding out words and word recognition.
We provide educational field trips to expose your child to a variety of environments while reinforcing the curriculum
that is implemented in the classroom. In addition, you are invited to join us on trips!
We provide an individualized daily lesson plan that is designed to meet the needs of your child. In addition, our lesson plan covers developmental objectives that are based on our educational curriculum.
We provide a writing area as one of the many Learning Centers for this age group. This learning center will assist in supporting prewriting experiences in your child.
We offer computer lessons, which support early computer skills and advancing your child’s eye hand coordination. Educational software is provided.
We are proud to offer developmentally appropriate materials such as those that will increase skills in Math, Science, and Literacy etc. These materials will support the ongoing developmental growth of each child at his/ her own pace.
We are proud to offer Sign Language. Sign Language is the third most used language, after English and Spanish. This will assist in preparing your child for a second language while being able to assist those who are unable to speak.
We provide you a pre-kindergarten daily report. One of our goals is to keep you apprised of your child’s schedule, which includes what he/she has eaten, time slept, medication administration and overall view of his/her day.
We provide you with a developmental evaluation every six months with the option of Parent/Teacher Conference. A partnership with parents is crucial to assist in the overall development of the child.
We build upon your child’s language skills by introducing new words, new concepts, numbers, and letters.
We offer an indoor play area that is divided into “Learning Centers”. The use of learning centers encourages and promotes your young preschooler’s physical, intellectual, and emotional development. In our classrooms, you will see a dramatic play/housekeeping center, block building center, art, music, library and much more!
We offer outdoor play areas furthering gross motor skills such as running, jumping, galloping, and skipping as well as social skills with age appropriate equipment. Safety is our first and foremost concern in all of our areas and programs.
We offer smooth transitions within a structured daily schedule. Feelings of safety and security are formed through predictable schedules. Your child will move from one activity to another in a smooth and calm manner, creating an organized and harmonious classroom experience.
We provide individual cots for napping verses sleep mats. Napping is easier and more restful for your child using comfortable cots that are raised off the floor, with clean, soft bedding.
We sit with our children during meals and snacks, which adds to a pleasant mealtime environment and opportunities for informal modeling of manners. Our teachers encourage social interaction and conversation about concepts such as colors of fruits and vegetables, quantity of food, number of items on the plate, temperature of food and events of the day.
We offer hot, nutritious meals full of vitamins and nutrients for a growing body and strong mind.
We respect diversity in our classrooms. Our goal is to develop pride through positive racial/cultural identity, inspiring positive attitudes about other cultures while helping the children see skin color variations as a continuum rather than extreme. Children will also learn to develop understanding, acceptance, and an attitude of helpfulness toward those who have special needs. Our motto is “We’re all alike yet unique.”

Have a history with precious time. Overall a great safe place for children. I have only had 1 negative experience in which a child didn't make it to bathroom in time due to a staff member telling her to wait. Then when the parent picked the child up the staff didn't even bother cleaning the child off. Other than that they do a lot of cool trips and keep the kids very active.
